Bruce Springsteen At Bramall Lane In The 80'S

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I was walking my dogs in Woodhouse, and could hear the concert clearly.

It must have been great to have been there.

Did'nt go to the concert but sat on the grass on Skye Edge bank (overlooking the city) and heard every song as clear as if I had been there. There must have been over 100 of us singing along.

I lived on Charlotte road at the time as a teenager so I didn't see the concert but heard everything as I laid on my bed . The crowd obviously enjoyed it because the applause was deafening. It took hours for the crowd to disperse after , compared to a football match that cleared in half an hour . The atmosphere around the ground was amazing , even the police were smiling :o

Yes the wind must have been blowing in our direction. I remember being able to sing along with Brucie in Handsworth.

I didn't go to the concert although my brother did and he took his daughter along. What I remember is getting the late train back from Nottingham and having to queue for three hours for a taxi (well, it was a long time!) lots of people couldn't get home and I think the station was left open all night so they could sleep there.
