vicster1   10 #1 Posted February 17, 2009 (edited) I am thinking of buying some reclaimed flooring for my attic (20sqm). I need someone to prepare and fit it. I would like someone who has done this before, as i presume this is a rather specialised field.... Thanks  Vic Edited February 17, 2009 by vicster1 No replies but lots of views
 Share this content via...

vicster1 Â Â 10 #4 Posted February 21, 2009 Hi again Jeff, Just to let you know that i haven't forgotten you. We just need some time to get funding together for this project. The deal is this: We are going to buy some reclaimed parquet flooring. What we need from someone else is to prepare and fit the blocks. The T@G will need cleaning and preparing. The blocks will probably have bitumen on the back, but apparently there is some type of adhesive that can be used that reacts with bitumen, so it doesn't need to be removed first. We have had a look at the floor underneath the carpet and will probably take the existing floorboards out and sell them on. Then have another floor put down and the parquet layed upon that. We will then get the floor sanded and will varnish it ourselves. This is all in conjunction with other work that needs to be quoted (some of which you may be interested in)and organised. We are thinking it will be a summertime job...... I have your number in my phone and will contact you in the future. All the best Vic
 Share this content via...
