muddycoffee   10 #13 Posted April 26, 2005 Hillsborough used to have 3 cinemas, The hillsborough Park Cinema, now Nettos near the SWFC stadium, Hillsborough Kinema, now the carpark in proctor place, And hillsborough Phoenix where Maplins shop is now. Sadly the last of this trio of delights closed 37 years ago so you are a little too late.  Info here about hillsborough cinemas
 Share this content via...

Lotti   10 #16 Posted April 27, 2005 I don't know what the 17a is like as I've never had to catch it but I used to catch the number 8 from Firth Park (college) to Crookesmoor (home). That originally was every half hour and is now every hour and is horrible! Beware - if it's anything like the number 8, it won't really be every half hour! The number 8 is the worst bus service i've ever been on, it's never on time, and sometimes, during the day when it's not busy rush hour, it comes early so you go out to get it and it's already gone and then you have to wait even longer!  I just thank God for my car now!  Hope you get it sorted!  Lottie x  ps. has anyone else had to catch the number 8? (actually number 2 to Hillsborough not nice either and that's busy - at least with the number 8 you have the bus to yourself!) Looking forward to having a bucket of popcorn and the cinema to myself!  Also, they have a deal - pay £10 and you can use any UGC up and down the country.  Alex
 Share this content via...
