Beakerzoid   10 #66 Posted February 9, 2009 Everyone elses in our area has been emtied except for the small cluster of houses in our little cul-de-sac! Even the bins directly opposite the entrance to our cul-de-sac have been emptied, but not the 9 houses inside it! One of the unemtied bins is right next to the corner, about 2 metres from the road! We must have been shrouded in fog and unable for them to see the cluster of bins!
 Share this content via...

acegem82 Â Â 10 #68 Posted February 10, 2009 An update...they emptied the bins halfway up the street yesterday, but not our end (its a cul-de-sac). We rang the council up and the report said that it was too icy-which it wasn't! There was a bit of slush on the roads and clear up our end of the street! They have come back today and emptied the bins (at long last!). However I have noticed that they haven't taken some black sacks (that are sealed as adviced) besides the bin. Luckily we recycle quite a lot and therefore our bin was not overflowing (and no one had kindly filled it for us!).
 Share this content via...

satman2222 Â Â 10 #70 Posted February 10, 2009 Our black bin was not emptied on Friday. They are all out on the street along with the blue bins that were not emptied last Tuesday. We were told to leave the blue bins out so they could collect them this Tuesday...... They Lied....................
 Share this content via...
WalkleyIan   10 #71 Posted February 10, 2009 Large parts of Walkley have been missed for a second week. Not sure if to leave ours out again for tomorrow or not.
 Share this content via...
Klarity   10 #72 Posted February 11, 2009 I think they haven't emptied our bins in Walkley because they haven't gritted our hilly roads so they can't drive up them...our footpaths are 3 inches deep in ice so they can't walk up either..
