maryjane   11 #50 Posted May 28, 2011 A little off topic but still about Cornwall. I'm reminded of a holiday we spent at a Holiday Camp in Cornwall back in 1957. It was at Perranport: Perran Sands. Decide to google it and to my surprise found out it's still operating. Anyone been there recently or like me, way back in the 50s? Bit of a shoestring operation bk then.   took the kids every year while they were young, it was lovely till the last few years when the place was full of slot machines and burger bars, but still a lovely holiday and perranpoorth beach is lovely,
 Share this content via...

smary   14 #53 Posted May 29, 2011 As Gladys Clark says Cornwall very much reminds me of Yorkshire. When we came to view our now house 35 years ago - the view across the valley from the front window was so similar to our view across the valley in Penistone minus the railway. Of course, the sea from the back was so different making it our little bit of paradise.
 Share this content via...
