Was that our own DaFoot who managed to get his name up on the big screens tonight?

The show last night was great. Nice to see Eddie 'Fly Magnet' Izzard back on tour.

Last night he was on at Sheffield, wondered if anybody went to see him?

Yeah I went with my wife and son. They loved him, but to be honest I wasn't that impressed. Rambling on and on, all utter drivel with the odd item that made me laugh, but I can't quite understand why I felt like that - always thought him good on TV.

Yes - plenty of people did. It was quite packed at the Arena.

We went along, having gone to see him on his last couple of tours, and loved it. Took a mate along who wasn't sure whether he would find Izzard funny and he was chuckling away through the whole thing.

It is great when a comic takes a couple of years out between tours as last night was packed with new material, as well as some sly callbacks to old favourites. Plus, we got the added element of the assualt of the flies on stage (flies kept buzzing around him leading to some great improv moments, and also one point at which he managed to get one on his finger and walked it to the side of the stage - could see it clearly on the vid-screen).

A great gig, and if I wasn't working tonight I'd be going to see him at the Ross Noble charity thing tonight at City Hall.

I was glad that I went to see him but I think I have enjoyed his older material more so it was good that he dropped little hints of his old stuff in there
