Guest sibon   #97 Posted May 17, 2009 Found that one yesterday. What a voice! There's a fantastic (longer) version of it on the Costello and Nieve For the First Time in America CD box set.  The clip is from the Liverpool Phil last year. I was there, right at the back and I can confirm that his voice was indeed amazing. I haven't got the box set, it always seems a little expensive. Is it worth buying?  Have you seen Fiona Apple covering I Want You? Creepy.  Indeed I have. A brilliant version of one of my favourite songs. Looks like it was a fantastic night. I haven't got the box set, it always seems a little expensive. Is it worth buying? It's excellent. Might be an Ebay job though now, for those who're after a hard copy.  ETA: This is the one.
 Share this content via...

So, that's an entire evening wasted on You Tube and $40 you've just cost me. I hope you are proud of yourself:hihi:
 Share this content via...

Glad to have the Costello evangelism pay off finally .  Other stand out tracks: Just About Glad, The Other End of the Telescope, All The Rage and Just a Memory, plus an absolutely magnificent version of You'll Never be a Man, despite him fluffing a bit of the lyrics ('you stike a pofile...'). Guest sibon   #105 Posted May 17, 2009 Really? Excellent! Glad to have the Costello evangelism pay off finally . .  No need to evangelise with me:hihi:  Now may I recommend the deluxe version of My Aim Is True, the Album is good enough, but the bonus disc is a blinding gig at the Nashville Rooms in 1977. The Attractions at their very best.  The packaging is nice too.
 Share this content via...
