That's the theme from Van der Valk.  It also had lyrics when we used to sing it in my 70s junior school choir. Something like 'and you smiled, and you smiled, with laughter in your eyes, and the world seemed to fade away'. We sang some odd stuff for 8 year olds ('Winchester cathedral, you're bringing me down, you stood and you watched as my baby left town').
