Where to buy chip shop batter

I would like to buy the batter they use in fish and chip shops, I know of Batleys as a wholesaler to food shops, does anyone know anywhere else to buy it?

you will find most make thier own, its so simple

 

either eggs flour and water or eggs/flour/water/beer

whisk and dip!

personally i just use

 

plain flour

water/milk

eggs

You don't need to use beer, its purely for flavouring.

 

You can also make: Pancakes or Yorkshire puddings out of the same mix

Use fizzy water if you like instead of beer.

plain flour, milk and water ,salt and pepper ,egg.

 

And the most important ingredient a splash of vinegar,this is what gives it its golden colour.

 

You can also add a small pinch of bi/carb to give extra bubble to your batter Perfect.
