Modernsoulman   10 #38 Posted December 23, 2008 well, the fools will insist on going to meadow hell . what a horrible place it is. Rather it still be a derilict wasteland then would you:loopy:  Just stop to think for a minute about how many folks from out of the area go there to spend their money & also how many local folks are employed there. beansforyou   10 #39 Posted December 23, 2008 Odd isn't it,  we went to Meadowhall Saturday and it was really quiet on the roads, easy to park.  The malls themselves got quite busy after lunch but once inside any shops it was half empty, no queues at tills apart from HMV.  Yesterday had a walk up town and again was pretty quiet, not much happening. Traffic was gridlocked but thats accepted for a city centre that closes off any alternative routes.
 Share this content via...
swordfish1   10 #40 Posted December 23, 2008 Is this a racist remark?   No, but I think you who have a problem if you think it is. It's in the same vein as calling Sheffielder's deedars.  For reference (which you could have looked up yourself before making any mention of rascism ):- http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/archive/index.php/t-19745.html  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_British_regional_nicknames  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dingle_(disambiguation)
 Share this content via...
