Ghozer   112 #4 Posted November 26, 2008 The white bar going up is sometimes seen on windows 2000, XP, 2003 and Vista when its resuming something, such as from stand by, or hibernate etc.  the bleeping could be a warning that the battery life is low, or there's a stuck key, or some configuration problem/change since it was last powered on. barts96 Â Â 10 #5 Posted November 26, 2008 when it boots it sounds like a smoke detector going off when key suck etc it a lot quieter? running xp pro
 Share this content via...
Dave650 Â Â 10 #6 Posted November 26, 2008 low battery is usually a slow beep and not smoke alarm loudness. just tap every key on the board to make sure they're all free etc but I doubt it's that.
 Share this content via...

Ghozer   112 #8 Posted November 26, 2008 It could be a thermal warning, or fan warning, maybe your fan is gunked up and starts off too slow, and once its been on for a minute it loosens up, try cleaning the fans etc if you can..
