Yes, got up Blake Hill (which is officially the steepest) in seconds flat......

I live near Langsett Avenue....(Opposite Middlewood Tram stop)....that is very steep too.

 

I walk down it once with shopping.....lost my footing, had a nasty fall and retrieved all my tomatoes at the bottom off the hill....they were only fit for ratties to eat!!!!

 

.......and I noticed this thread was started in 2003.....so is this the oldest thread in current use on the forum???????

In the 1960s, I knew a bloke called ' Tommy Thompson ' who lived on the right hand side of Langsett Ave. His house looked upon the Hospital where his wife worked as a sister. So I've climbed the Avenue on my cycle a number of times.
