I recently returned from Germany and in the last few years many supermarkets and carparks have started to have women-only parking bays.

I am a woman driver and I have to admit I conform to the stereotype when it comes to parking but even I feel insulted by that.

What do others think? Would it be a good idea here?

Great, providing they also have carpet and potpourri.

Is it not so that women feel safer on the journey back to their car, no men around (be that hiding in wait or by their own cars) and not a comment on a womans driving ability?

Wouldn’t a women’s area only advertise the fact that a women is likely to be on her own and attract the wrong kind of people.
