SL31 Â Â 10 #25 Posted November 11, 2008 Valkenburg is really pretty and has a good atmosphere, I can imagine over the Christmas period its very festive, they also have a wonderful spa called Thermae 2000 and when I was there in the summer they had loads of posters up advertising Christmas markets. You would probably have to fly into Eindhoven and get the train down.
 Share this content via...

chinaski   10 #33 Posted November 11, 2008 We stay in Griffon Forest near York - around half hr from the centre and 45 mins to Whitby. It's a woodland setting with modern wood chalets. The best bit though are the hot tubs . . . staring out into the woods with the steam of the hot tub drifting through the twilight night air, bottle of wine chilled on ice, used condom floating past your gaping mouth . . .  Give me a PM if you're interested cos I think you can get %10 off. Around £300 for 4 nights. Just don't stay in chalet 14.
 Share this content via...

chinaski   10 #36 Posted November 12, 2008 I don't want to go into details. Lets just say crinkly old women sat in bath cackling, blood running down walls, kids mumbling incoherently, madness, murder . . . you know, the usual family holiday stuff.
