Ooops I'm creating a demand.  that's what is wrong with the market its not providing homes, its just creating greed, house prices should be standardised no matter where they happen to be it would sort the lot out. getto_sniper   10 #40 Posted November 8, 2008 houses go for a premium if they are in certain areas, the same house type/build in one area should be the same in another, and people should be limited to how many you can own, there's people in coastal areas that have to move away cus some arse wants an house to use once a year for a fortnight,
 Share this content via...
Little Buzz   10 #41 Posted November 8, 2008 house go for a premium if they are in certain areas, the same house type/build in one area should be the same in another  so a house in a desirable area should be the same as one in a hell-hole?  Would you make the desirable house as cheap as the undesirable one - thereby creating far too much demand for the house in the desirable area? If so, how will you decide fairly who gets the house?  Or will you make the undesirable one expensive, so no-one will live in it?  Your system doesn't seem very workable so far ... Little Buzz   10 #46 Posted November 8, 2008 the hell-holes! are usually in the council areas and i don't think council houses should be sold.  Well we have to start from the position we are in where a lot of them have.  And there are different levels of demand between areas that are both nice - a three bed semi in North London is more than one in, say, Preston because there is more demand for houses in London.  How would you 'intervene' to set the prices of such houses, and how would you allocate them in a fairer way than the market does? Little Buzz   10 #48 Posted November 8, 2008 there are fireman nurses policeman ect, that cant afford to get on the housing market because of greed, people that make a difference in society, that want a home to call there own.  So you think house prices are high because of greed?  Nothing to do with supply and demand?  You still haven't explained how your system of intervening to alter house prices would work.
