bagger   10 #52 Posted November 10, 2008 I think the intention is to mean City Lights as in the lights in the City, as opposed to purely replacing Christmas.  I don't think the intention is to replace Christmas at all. It's more likely so as it doesn't offend anyone. Although I really doubt calling them Christmas lights WOULD offend anyone. But there are always those who like to be offended on behalf of others.
