Dozer   13 #87 Posted June 30, 2017 Can't find any threads about this newer than 10 years old, so thought I would start a new one.  We have a small amount of trash that needs taking to the tip. We want someone to legally take it. We'd do it ourselves, but one item is too big for us so would like someone to take the lot.  1. Long roll of green carpet (good condition if anyone needs it and can pick it up!) 2. Old electric oil-filled radiator (works but some corrosion) 3. Box of disused electrical appliances 4. A few other bits and bobs, nothing messy.  Can anyone recommend someone reliable and legal?  Thanks
 Share this content via...
Fooman   10 #88 Posted July 1, 2017 Message debo1 as he came and collected things we were getting rid of. He does house clearances so will probably be able to help you.
 Share this content via...
El Cid   214 #89 Posted July 1, 2017 Can anyone recommend someone reliable and legal? Thanks  Where I live people do it for £15/£20, although its not strictly legal to take things to the tip in your own car, for reward.
 Share this content via...

Thanks in advance The council will pick it up for a reasonable fee - think it’s £20 or summat for Upto 3 items.  might be a bit out in detail but summat like that. northernboy   13 #94 Posted February 5, 2020 I’ve used https://www.collectyouroldbed.com/  £11.99, I chose my collection date, they turned up, collected, gave me a receipt - nice and easy.
 Share this content via...

Ah well, at least it’s something you could fall back on if you can’t find a better deal. On the plus side they gave a 2-hour collection slot and were very efficient, with a certificate of safe disposal so you know it won’t end up fly tipped on a country lane.
