Quite, I totally agree with this post, because Sachs is a man who knows about respect and how to deal with bad things in a gentlemanly way. He's probably, maybe misguidedly, also trying to protect his little grand-daughter. Although he'd probably love to be in a position to give Ross and Brand a bloody nose. It may still happen, but in an indirect way, who knows.

 

The rest of us who are on high horses now, also know about respect and where it's due, and it's certainly not due to Jonathan Ross a man so far up himself that he needs to be in a permanent spotlight just to be able to see himself. I'm reserving judgment on Russel, because I like him just for being cute, and he has gone some way to making amends for his gross error of judgment by apologising again and resigning. Even though I think this is probably because he has his eye on better things, like a career in USA in films, maybe?

Christ, all the moral crusaiders are droaning on about this poor frail old man, if I was him I would be more offended by you lot implying that I am old, defenceless, can't think for myself and need protecting. HE was happy to leave this, but according to Ruby (who must be a personal frined of his with her inside knowledge) implying that he was just being polite when he said an apology will be fine and these things happen.

Woss has been suspended for 12 weeks - without pay - so the BBC obviously want to keep him (though I can't imagine why).

 

I wonder how he'll cope without his weekly doses of posing, preening and talking about himself on screen?

 

Possibly he'll have a nice holiday, the loss of money won't have much effect.

Is the unsubstantiated allegation - or even the fact, if that's how it turns out - that she may have been in a porn film relevant to whether details of her private life be broadcast to Brand and Ross' audience without her prior consent?

So what if she's a porn actress? Why does everyone think that she deserved it just because of her chosen profession and so called aspirations to be a Page 3 girl? It stinks, that's what is so galling about this entire debacle.

 

I personally think Brand should have stuck to his guns and not resigned, he apologised and if anything this entire affair would have given his show even greater ratings. I'm sure that the world is his oyster now.

 

I wouldn't necessarily call either of them talentless, Wossy is very witty and his repartee can be hilarious, I do think his chat show is tired and after years of being exposed to his high profile career, I've got bored of him and his constant lewd comments, he has become a caricature which is a shame as underneath that there is a very clever, quick witted man. He can be an extremely funny presenter back in the days he hosted quiz shows etc.
