Respect for a policeman who died today in an RTA 24/10/2008

went past the scene of the accident today and there were 2 police bikes there on the pavement,dont know if they were at work or just paying their respects

I feel for his family,to go to work in a morning and never come home is terrible ,My thought are with his family and all his collegues who had to deal with the incident.RIP.

My sister in law is a police officer, and knew the officer involved. Our condolences go to the family

the disrption of yesterday was immense and all of the community who were affected did not moan one bit.

we all knew that your colleagues needed to do what they needed to do in order that you were afforded the best that the syp has .

as we stood with our cars there was a sense of community pulling together.

I am so, so sorry.....respects to you and your loved ones

the guy as been named today , I remember seeing him about on his bike , he wore his name on the side of his helmet , it was a shock when you reckonise the guys name , although you dont know some one , but a man in the city whom you know by name only .

 

tragic , god bless the fellow , and my thoughts are with his family , collegues

So sorry, really haunting and tragic. My thoughts and prayers are with the officers family and friends and his fellow officers. A sad loss and many have been affected throughout the city. Rest in Peace.

now he has been named officially i can post

i knew glen since he first started on the beat at foxhill he was a old style copper very fair and loved a joke with everyone he will be missed by myself and family

i know we all have a go at the traffic police

 

but this is so sad have seen the guy ion his bike around sheffield
