cgksheff   44 #2 Posted October 6, 2008 Is this the building inside what used to be the Myrtle Springs School compound?  Are you talking about 'outreach' work, or just altering the physical appearance of the building/location? 5liveproject   10 #3 Posted October 6, 2008 Yes it was.  Myrtle Springs School has since been demolished and replaced with Sheffield Springs Acedemy. The Spires Community Centre now (physically) stands isolated on the site, disjointed from the new acedemy, and Eastern Bank Road by a stretch of (no-man's-land tarmac, physically seperated fro the pavement by a weld mesh fence.  In trying to open up this wonderful facility to a wider audience, visually breaking down the barrier fence and re-orientating the main entrance with the possibility of providing additional facilies will be a prime objective.  Your views and opinions on how you would like to see this facility improved to suit you are very welcome and would be much apprecieted!
