I learned this word here on this forum. I didn't know what one was before.

 

I get emailed a "Word of the Day" every day and got this a few days ago - thought some might find it interesting.

: an electronic image that represents and is manipulated

by a computer user (as in a computer game or an online shopping

site)

a Hindu deity (as Vishnu)." It derives from a Sanskrit word

Amazingly, on this topic, I seem to have managed to upload one!!

 

The uploading was the easy bit... the problem was that every single flamin one I did was either two big, or saved in the wrong format. And the ones I tried to get off the google images search wouldn't save as .gif or .jpg

 

In the end I found a very small one on google images search, right clicked it and chose copy, then opened Paint, pasted it into there, saved it as .gif and *finally* it worked!!

 

Incidentally if you do "advanced search" in the google images section, I discovered that you can limit your search to images of a certain size. That helped a lot.
