Totally devoid of any emotional content, as far as I'm aware.  I'm not an Eric Clapton fan, in fact I hardly know any of his songs apart from "Tears in Heaven", so I can't comment on the emotional content of his other material.  However, Tears in Heaven is a deeply emotional song - as Cols says, it was written following the death of Clapton's toddler son, and I find it a beautifully written poem from a father to his son.
