There's a farmer's market on the Moor on the last Sunday of every month.

Organic fruit and veg: Beanies - just down from the crossroads on Crookesmoor.

details of farmers markets and other specialist markets that are organised by the sheffield markets department, and only they can do it because of the charter of 900 AD can be found here

I'm a huge fan of farmers' markets and have found the best by far near here is the one in Bakewell.

Held at the agricultural centre on the last Saturday of each month, there are 60 stalls selling a fantastic range of food direct from the producer.

There are are a couple of organic veg suppliers - one right at the back of the market - near the stalls is a particular favourite with great quality at very reasonable prices..

Bakewell Farmers market recently won an award as the second best in the UK so give it a try!
