Leaving behind a little bit of tea in the cup

When you drink a cup of tea and near the bottom of the cup, do you always leave enough tea just to cover the bottom of the cup and if so, why?

 

I do this. When I was younger we used to have leaf tea and the bottom of the cup was usually the leaves which I didn't want to drink. These days it's tea bags and there's no leaves, but still I leave that little bit of tea for no reason whatsoever, but it would be wrong to drink it! But why is it wrong to drink it?

It's to stop the floaters out of your mouth & teeth going down at the end!

I do this... but i do it with pretty much any drink, I never drink the last bit of the cup or glass I have no idea why, its just something Ive always done.

I never finish my coffee, im a slow drinker so half way it goes cold, so I leave it! What a waste

It depends whether I'm busy doing other things and inadvertently let the tea go cold. If it's cold I'll leave it, if its still hot I'll drink it all

I think it's wastefull to leave a perfectly good gobfull of tea.

I think it was a habit formed before teabags. If you hadn't got/didn't use a strainer then all the tea leaves were in the bottom of the cup.
