Classic Rock   10 #1 Posted August 27, 2008 When you drink a cup of tea and near the bottom of the cup, do you always leave enough tea just to cover the bottom of the cup and if so, why?  I do this. When I was younger we used to have leaf tea and the bottom of the cup was usually the leaves which I didn't want to drink. These days it's tea bags and there's no leaves, but still I leave that little bit of tea for no reason whatsoever, but it would be wrong to drink it! But why is it wrong to drink it? taxman   12 #9 Posted August 27, 2008 It depends whether I'm busy doing other things and inadvertently let the tea go cold. If it's cold I'll leave it, if its still hot I'll drink it all
 Share this content via...

SheShe   10 #12 Posted August 27, 2008 I think it was a habit formed before teabags. If you hadn't got/didn't use a strainer then all the tea leaves were in the bottom of the cup.
 Share this content via...
