Can I get rid of Vista and change to windows XP?

Recommended Posts

I was just wondering whether i can change from vista to xp, i find that vista is slower than xp and chews up more memory etc.

I have a 2.5ghz dual core pc with 3gb ram, if i changed from vista to xp would i notice a big difference in speed?

If it is possible to do this please can someone tell me how to do it, cheers.

After 6 months of Vista I made the change back to XP and was very glad I did. I never got on with Vista and found it was slow and awkward.

I had to buy a copy of XP, save all my documents to an external hard drive and then format the disk before installing XP. It's a day or twos work to get your regular programs reinstalled, but worth it.

check with the manufacturer of your p.c to make sure that X.P drivers are available for your p.c before changing
