does any1 know whats going to happen to all the debris from the towers? i heard they are going to use it to cap off a landfill site in sheff somewhere, any1 know if this is true?

Someone else suggested they might use the debris as the foundations for the new plant.

Personally, I think they should sell the concrete.

almost correct

They stood in a family of 7, but when the others were pulled down around 30 years ago i believe, the two that stood untill recently were too close to the viaduct to come down safely.

Yes, were seven: though not all the same shape and size of those two! At least 4 were shallow square towers, with possibly another parabolic tower.

i went over the viaduct earlier on this dinnertime,and had a look at the debri,

what suprised me was how compact the towers were,

i thought they'd be spread down the length of the field !

I went northbound on the M1 earlier and it was so weird having an open view to the right of me!! There was so much open space it was just quite frankly - odd!

Is it just me, or does anyone else get emotional, about them coming down?
