samesame monkey   10 #111 Posted April 6, 2009 I don't know if it's been mentioned, and not that historical, but the site of the My Lai massacre in Vietnam is a deeply affecting place to visit. I will never forget my visit there.
 Share this content via...

Fogey   10 #114 Posted April 6, 2009 The Pantheon, Rome. No major work required in almost 2000 years and the space is truly magical, on seeing it you're not sure if what you're looking at is real.
 Share this content via...

Frank Sidney   11 #118 Posted April 9, 2009 Of all the historical sites/monuments you've visited, which has inspired the most awe and emotion in you?  I saw the ex wife the other day, I was in awe at how old and ugly she looked. I cried with laughter on the way home.
 Share this content via...
VideoPro   10 #119 Posted April 9, 2009 (edited) Scene of the Nuremberg trials  The Palace of Justice, Nürnberg The building stills stands, its just the equivalent of a Crown court in the UK really. Nuremburg is a dull, medium sized German city with two mediocre second division football teams.
