wondertec   10 #1 Posted August 3, 2008 I've got some plants that could do with splitting up as a) they are getting a bit big and b) i have a friend who is starting a new garden and needs plants.  Plants i'm wanting to split / seperate are bamboo and yucca and some sort of varigated(sp?) grass and maybe a lavender.  Can i do this at this time of year? Any advice on do's and dont's?
 Share this content via...
torin8 Â Â 10 #2 Posted August 4, 2008 As long as they are growing well and aren't stressed by drought then you should be able to split them. Personally for the grass / bamboo you should be able to dig a chunk out and if transplanted then they should be fine. Â The lavendar might be harder - the usual way is through taking cuttings so a little more work and patience is needed.
 Share this content via...
