cgksheff   44 #61 Posted October 6, 2008 Reading the report, I would expect that the application will be approved.  The only possibility of the development not occurring is if they get frightened off by the fall in property values and don't make the 106 payments which would be a condition of the approval. Stefy   10 #63 Posted October 10, 2008 still reading through the report and the jargon in it, is it just me or does it sound like the council are gunna pass the plans anyhow???
 Share this content via...
adgieman   10 #64 Posted October 10, 2008 i think the council are just happy to have the near 400k in payments, they so far dont seem to be acting in the interests of the locals. The board meeting is on monday 13th according to the council website, so we'll no for sure then.  most of the objections have been dismissed, either as "not a planning issue".... or they have been addressed by amended plans, which arent amended enough to make any difference what so ever to the orginal locals concerns  they have "addressed" the height issue by lowering each floor ceiling height by 15cm, saving a whopping 60cm on the entire height of the building.... wow its still more than 2!  they have also "addressed" the clading issue, by using, less cladded/ other materials as it says in one report...  i feel really badly for the owners of "the bungalow" which will be directly over the road from it, and directly overlooked, as they are beneath road level. Complete privacy loss.  to answer your previous question Stefy, 3 of the houses are going to "social rent" by a "social landlord", not too sure which agencies that refers too. sparky2 Â Â 10 #66 Posted October 18, 2008 Just received a letter from Sheffield City Council Development Services. This is in regard to plans that have been drawn up for shops, flats and much more on the site of the filling station on Birley Moor Road. (This is the one on the left hand side of the road heading towards Mosborough). The filling station is to be pulled down take make room for this development. I got the letter because I live close by and if I wish to object. The application No. for this one is 08/05107/FUL. Seems like we are going to overcrowded with flats etc. in this area. adgieman   10 #67 Posted October 20, 2008 well i just hope for you and your local residents sake their not high rise, rack em pack em stack strategy like some. taken a quick look at the plans and are they only 3 storey? thats not so bad, its probably a bit better than 2 petrol stations opposite each other, and lately i think the texaco has closed and a car wash lot moved in ?  good luck either way
 Share this content via...
