It takes 10 days max for them to get it back to you. It goes to Germany for repair where they will put the new 65nm chips in it along with the new fans and DVD drive before sending it back.

 

They say upto 6 weeks just in case it goes missing with UPS.

Yep, on average the turnaround is less than two weeks from Microsoft, and is free of charge!
