mj.scuba   10 #146 Posted August 15, 2011 (edited) Jesus Christ, Liz Jones can't even go on holiday without turning it into a moan-fest for the Daily Mail. What is wrong with this woman? Can you imagine living with her? Must be like hell on Earth.  http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2025742/Holidays-They-pressure-cooker-stored-resentments.html  This is after a stint in Somalia.  -- Edited August 15, 2011 by mj.scuba
 Share this content via...
Teabag   10 #147 Posted August 15, 2011 Very true. The Mail espouses traditional English views and values which were entirely the norm among our grandparents' generation, and still should and would be today were it not for the cancers of socialism and political correctness that erode our society.  Is that why the Daily Mail cosied up to Hitler in the 30's? They probably wrote the same thing in the 30's plus that splendid young chap Brevik in Norway;)
 Share this content via...
Streamline   10 #148 Posted August 15, 2011 It won't happen. News of the World took the hit for the sins of all.  I'm talking about the losses it's accruing especially as the BBC has cut back on using it to advertise positions in it.  Strange don't you think though that the BBC had a preference for Guardian readers? Squiggs   11 #153 Posted August 15, 2011 Can anyone please enlighten me as to what seems to be the problem with reading the Daily Mail newspaper I have noticed in a few threads that some people are constantly poking fun at them......  ....  So could anyone please enlighten me as to why they are mimmicked so  Well, 52% of them thinking that Blackberry Messenger should be banned following the riots is one reason...  rabid nitwits, if it had been organised by people using tin cans and string to communicate, they'd be wanting to ban Heinz beans  Since they don't mind iPhones, HTC and twitter, I think it's because it's BLACKberry therefore it must be a gangsta tool for riot arrangement and have no other valid purpose
 Share this content via...
donkey   10 #154 Posted August 15, 2011 Errrrrrrrrr they cosied up to him because he was doing a good job in Germany prior to war breaking out..  That is a complete myth. In 1939 Germans already had a lower standard of living that the British or Americans, but Goebel's propaganda machine successfully persuaded the German people this was not the case, chiefly by exagerrating the levels of poverty in other countries, and manipulating unemployment statistics on a grand scale.  http://www.historylearningsite.co.uk/nazis_and_the_german_economy.htm  http://www.macgregorishistory.com/english/ib/Germany/thirdeco.html  Furthermore, Hitler built his military machine by depleting German gold reserves and running up a massive deficit (sound familiar?) so that if he hadn't gone to war, economic collapse was imminent.  http://www.hqessays.com/essay-samples/adolf-hitler-and-his-economic-miracle/
 Share this content via...

Lady Star   10 #156 Posted August 16, 2011 I think that the "problem" some people find with the Mail is that, after years of brainwashing by the Pinkos, particularly the BBC, the Mail seems very Right-Wing, some people even refer to them as "fascists", which of course is complete nonsense. It just shows how much the Marxists, using "Political Correctness" as a propaganda weapon, have swung public opinion so far to the Left.  Very true. The Mail espouses traditional English views and values which were entirely the norm among our grandparents' generation, and still should and would be today were it not for the cancers of socialism and political correctness that erode our society.  My grandparents were born in the 1920s, and the views of one set that lived in a Derbyshire village should not be welcomed today at all! They really did believe that jews ate babies and all the other bizarre stuff that some of the right wing press knock out, to be gobbled up by people who don't know any better... One set came from a port city, knew loads of people from all over the world and never felt any racist leanings as they knew what was what... If the views of those who were old enough to be involved in the 2nd world war, and were socially aware thanks to having met people from all over the place, then yes these are the views we should hold to today... If you mean the ramblings of those who lived in isolation, then no, this is the stuff we need rid of...
 Share this content via...
