Does anyone know of a hypnotist in Sheffield

Recommended Posts

There are meditation techniques that are more helpful than hypnosis would be.

They cure not only your phobias but they also cure you at the same time.

A hypnosis plays games with the outer skins of (un)consciousness. You can go much deeper than that with "proper" meditation.

Meditation is not a religious practise or belief, not prayer or following silly religious rules. You need an experienced master to take you to this space, not a priest or imam.

has anyone use a hypnotist to lose weight, can anyone recommend a hypnotist that can help in this area?

Hello Orbs,

As a hypnotherapist I am fully qualified and trained to use hypnosis to help you lose weight, and I have good results. A hypnotherapist can help you to change the way that you eat for life, not just enable a short fix like dieting does. I would look into your attitudes to food and beliefs about eating to provide therapy targetted at your individual position.

The important things in choosing any hypnotherapist are that they are a member of a professional organisation and so abide by a Code of Ethics and that you feel comfortable and able to trust them.

I won't cast any doubt on the potential benefits of meditation/mindfulness/contemplation call it what you will. It helped me big time a number of years ago. I would take issue with your claim that "hypnosis plays games with the outer skins of unconsciousness"! I'm not exactly sure what point you are trying to convey with this statement. Could you explain what you meant in a little more detail to help me understand please?

By the way, "depth" of experience is not linked to potential for benefit or improvement. I have worked with people who had total awareness of everything I said in our sessions and they changed in the way they wanted to. I have worked with people who experience total somnambulism (they remember absolutely nothing of what I said) and they were able to change the way they wanted to.

I think hypnotherapy and meditation/mindfulness can work very well side by side and I frequently refer some of my clients on to other professionals that are able to help in the area of meditation.

Sorry to hear that Orbs. If anyone else is looking at getting hypnotherapy I have a free pdf guide called "10 things you must know before getting hypnotherapy" which could prevent you from making the same mistake as Orbs.

I see that you've found a thread that's a few months old and restarted it just to advertise your business - again

I'm sorry that me posting on a thread two months after the last reply offended to you Bludragonfly. You must be really peeved at hypnoreiki who resuscitated this thread after no posts for nearly FOUR YEARS!!!!

I will admit that I have posted on threads and not looked at the date and realised that I have posted on a thread that had gone stale. I am sure we have all done it at least once in our time on SF.

I am genuinely sorry if my post as a hypnotherapist on a thread about hypnotherapy upset you but like I pointed out, I am definitely NOT the worst offender for that kind of behaviour. Happy New Year Blu.

Hi, I'm Shauna T. R. Naylor from Hypnotherapy in Sheffield,

I specialise in fear of flying. So far through my programme I have had a 100% success rate in making flying more comfortable and effortless. Please get in touch for the testimonies I've received in this area. Clients are thrilled with having more confidence and independence to go where they want, when they want, however they want!

Anyone out there nervous about flights, hypnosis is a great one off investment for that peace of mind and enjoyment of being able to take flights confidently and in a relaxed way.

~~ I also specialise in issues that affect younger people, recovery after illness / head injuries, reiki treatments, confidence raising and assertiveness, stopping smoking (in one v.powerful session - not for smokers who don't DEFINITELY want to stop!:hihi:), loss of motivation or the power of direction and phobias or repetitive issues that you are seeking to change permanently. ~~
