brammer   10 #1 Posted July 2, 2008 I have just retruned form holiday to find my greenhouse has blown over and my entire crop of leeks that I was going to plant this weekend have been destroyed.  Does anyone know where I can get some leek plants from - My local nurseries have sold out so I am a little stuck - I found some on ebay but the postagte takes makes them rather expensive. torin8 Â Â 10 #5 Posted July 2, 2008 Very easy Pattricia - just pop them into a seed tray now and they should grow fine - you can then pot them up when they are bigger and then when they are finally about pencil size you can then plat them out by making a large hole > placing the leek in and just 'puddling' some water in everysooften. brammer   10 #8 Posted July 3, 2008 If I sow the seeds now will they store as well - I just thought it was too late to sow some - I may have a go - maybe I will just get small leeks !! I may order a small batch off the internet and then sow some for planting in a couple of months.  Does anyone know if I can use a propogator to speed the growing up a bit or do they prefer a cooler environment
 Share this content via...
