Lib1 Â Â 10 #1 Posted February 25, 2005 Does anyone know where the Sheffield 'brownfield' site that is mentioned in this article: http://society.guardian.co.uk/regeneration/story/0,7940,1420126,00.html is going to be? Strix   11 #2 Posted February 25, 2005 Well reading this I would think that Orgreave slag heap falls into that category. It's called the Waverley Development (or something)
 Share this content via...
NicoleM Â Â 10 #3 Posted February 25, 2005 The Waverley Development is a mixed use site so expect a lot more than just houses when it's developed. They may have some competition from the Catcliffe area but I think it will work.
 Share this content via...
Dirtydog   10 #4 Posted February 25, 2005 There are a couple of possibilities of Brownfield re-development in Sheffield but I think Strix is correct with the Waverly site. Its a project that is expected to take around 30 years to complete, with mixed type housing, transport links, light specialised industry etc. Virtually the construction of another village between Sheffield, Treeton and Catcliffe.
