Recommended Posts

Id like Jodie Marsh to display her intestines to me- after Ive ripped them out with a rusty screwdriver, but thats just me, an old romantic.

We all want a brighter, whiter smile, but with whitening treatments at the dentist costing up to £750 a time, many people are turning to DIY kits. There are plenty to choose from, with supermarket shelves literally groaning with 'whitening' products and toothpastes. However, the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD) has issued a warning claiming that many DIY whiteners fail to give a good result or can even cause permanent damage to teeth.

Put a little salt on the toothpaste on your toothbrush. Don't do it too regularly though.

How weird to read an old thread and see what you were saying 3 years ago.

I still haven't managed to quit smoking, my teeth are probably even more yellow and I'm definitely more haggard and wrinkly :hihi:

May have to revise my opinion on teeth-whitening.

Three years later I still have teeth- which is surprising when you think of all the people I torment.

Just use a bit of bicarb & peroxide mixed with a little bit of toothpaste. do this twice a week for the first two weeks and once a week thereafter. Cost a couple of quid.

My teeth are still half decent but I think what Jabbers said about whiter teeth being weaker might have some truth to it, one of mine has practically broken in half!
