funfamily   10 #47 Posted November 17, 2006 for the mum moving to Hillsborough, there is a baby group running at Langsett at least twice a week, called playtime - in the St. Thomas' church buildings (kind of opposite Tesco), I know it runs Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 - 11.30 and is really friendly. Zebra   10 #48 Posted November 17, 2006 I've recently opened one because there was nothing in my area when I needed it, - so I opened one in the city centre for everyone. We're open 3 days a week, Mon, Wed and Fri 1pm - 3pm at the Victoria Methodist Church on Chapel Walk, across the road from the Crucible Theatre. The entrances are on the left of the building down Chapel Walk then opposite the door to Superdrug or on the right of the building, beside Jumbo and down a doorway and set of stairs on the left. There are signs to guide you through the building to our lower level rooms. Easy access with pushchairs - even my twin pram goes through. We provide hot and cold drinks and soups, drinks for kids, biscuits, breast feeding cushions, changing facilities, bottle warming, highchairs and £3,000 of toys, craft equipment and books from our grant funding. Everyone is welcome, and if your child is newborn to aged 3 this is ideal. For those days when older kids are off school, in holidays on or baker days - you can bring them too! Find out more in the Parenting section of the forum at: http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=132606 and remind me about your free cuppa if you come down to see us!
