Hillsborough Park event-rubbish

Recommended Posts

It is rare that you ever see anyone running on the running track, its mainly used by dog walkers.

I've been using it on and off.

Could do with some clear signage though, let people know what the course is/how long it is - that the (slightly) differant surface is supposed to be the track....

Some signage has been installed in in the past couple of months. There are markers every 100m and maps showing the routes and their distances on the adjacent notice boards. The maps are temporary small ones until the full size ones have been produced (hopefully you won't be able to miss them)...

Dog walkers are as welcome to use the route as anyone else if their beasts are under control. Walk, jog, run, skip, whatever - if they're getting some exercise and fresh air then all well and good.

It mentions 17,000 in the Star, bet it was more like 1,700 who went in and the rest who turned around and went home when they saw what was there.

Full marks to Green City Days for putting on Sheffield's worst ever event.
