The theme of the show was classical music, he was interviewing two young classical musicians;

M.M  “So, a ‘composer’, is that the bloke that stands around in the middle, waving a stick around?”

C.M. “ (laughs) no that’s a ‘conductor’”

M.M  “So what does a composer do then?”

C.M “er, composes”

So the new presenter who was given a years contract isn't British , no surprise there then, out of all the applicants no British white was deamed good enough. P C again.

As long as she is a proper Sheffielder who knows the City inside out ,then she qualifies to talk about it, plan it and express her opinions on it.

The problem in local radio comes when some bod from Uni or similar decides that their opinion on all things Sheffield is the one that matters.

A few years ago the station had some proper local reporters who every one tuned in to listen to ,now it seems they are getting thin on the ground .

Bring back Capo (he has got a plaque on the wall in Swinton but not outside the Town Hall ) perhaps he din't qualify.
