Pook   10 #4 Posted April 11, 2008 I saw them practising for the 60th anniversary fly by. Completely out of the blue this massive lancaster came down the valley and over the dam. Bloody amazing it was too, nearly skimming the res.
 Share this content via...

lisalee   10 #10 Posted April 12, 2008 Does anyone know the easiest way to get there on public transport from Sheffield city centre? Also, I know this may sound a stupid question, but is the Derwent dam in the same place as the Ladybower?  Thanks, lisa.
 Share this content via...

Also, I know this may sound a stupid question, but is the Derwent dam in the same place as the Ladybower? Â Thanks, lisa. Â I have been in touch with Sheffield transport and yes there is a bus but not very often it is No. 273/274 and the times are 9-15 12-35 and 15-25 from Sheffield so it has got to be the 9-15 it only takes about 30mins so if it's a rough old day it's a long wait until the event which is at 12-00, coming back I think the time is about 16-00 which again is quite a wait. I am going to look for alternative travel but not very hopefull unless of course there are any coach companies going there. Trouble with getting there early if it's raining there is very little shelter. If anyone knows of any travel companies I would love to know. Thanks.
