Recommended Posts

yea remember big bri great chap used to come to watch us play footie sunday morns . he also ran a good football team from burnaby st.

I played for Burnaby for about 4 years along with some very good players.

At one point Sam Ellis and Jack Witham (SWFC) took our training.

I still have some of the trophies we were given for winning leagues etc.

Loved it.

Thanks H! I can picture where it was now, there's a small plot of newish (1980s/90s?) houses in between the old ones near the top.

I'll keep looking for a pic.

He was a little chap who I used to work with and he got me membership of  Burnaby st.  WMC.   The other chap Edwin  had a limp   there were many more  but I can't remember there names  . When was it demolished.?  I now live in Liverpool and have done for 20 years now.

The guy with the limp was called Burkinshaw and he helped to form the football team and I think was the manager in the early days around 1967/8
