Is this just more of the wild incompetence we've all grown used to from Number 10 or is there something more sinister behind this?

I'm betting its just more of the hilarious incompetence, but how could something so obvious as a whopping great swastika make it onto a government website?

Neither - unless you count someone taking a perfectly innocent logo and making a swastika out of it from sheer dumb paranoia, to be sinister. I don't, I count it as laughable.

It's not as if the swastika is a Nazi symbol anyway. It's Hindu in origin, and is something to do with promoting good fortune.

You'd have been interned in 1939 in Britain for posting that. :hihi:

Well the government obviously saw the swastika in it! They took it down and had it redesigned, for both the website and the conference all at the last minute!

I know previous to the Nazi regime it had a much more benign meaning, but I think Hitler tainted it for good unfortunately.

I'm sure its just all a silly but no doubt expensive mistake. I agree, its just funny.

You mean, they obviously didn't. They wouldn't have come up with it in the first place if they'd seen that.

They've redesigned it because some interfering paranoiac moron somewhere has seen a swastika in it. How, beats me. I had to stare at it for some time before I could even work out what they were getting at.

hehe I saw it instantly! The gov did the right thing replacing it anyway.

World leaders having their photo taken with that behind would have drawn ridicule without a doubt.
