jaime Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 We would like to widen our drive but there is a lamp-post in the way, anyone know if it is possible to get the lamp post moved up a few meters? If it is possible does anyone know how you would go about it?

Grandad.Malky Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 I would hate to think how much that would cost.
Tony Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 Speak to the Highways Dpt at the council. You can do most things if you pay for it. Moving a lampost won't be cheap and might involve design work, road traffic orders, planning... and only then do you actually do the site work. A tow bar and chain on a 4x4 is cheaper
Heyesey Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 Planner1 might have some useful advice. I presume there's some obvious, sensible reason why you can't simply widen the other side of the drive? Like, next door's house in the way? ....I only ask, because sometimes people really do miss the blindingly obvious.

Its a standard semi-detached.
SYorksDeano Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 Planner1 might have some useful advice. Don't be stupid, he will have a bus gate, roundabout and 1 way street placed in front of the drive
