matt1889 Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 Aparently South Yorshie Police have drafted in help from their counterparts in West Yorkshire for Tuesdays Steel City Derby, the last time this happened I think there must have been somesort of rivalry between the police for which force could get the most arrests as West Yorkshires Boy In Blue Played the no-nonsense card, telling fans to <removed> off out of their faces" "<removed> move along" and Get back in the pub <removed> before pushing you physically back into the pub.......Should be fun again!
stagecoach Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 lets hope that bringing these robo cops in from west yorkshire doe,s not have the same result as last time ie the battle of the sportsman
SYorksDeano Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 It does seem that West Yorkshire Police do have a 'different' way in dealing with football derbys. Sometimes they do act a little over the top. However I am quite suprised that they never used them when Doncaster played Leeds, and drafted in officers from North Yorkshire, who basically couldn't police a **** up in a brewery. Bradford are at home on Tuesday, and will only need about 4 coppers as they are playing Barnet, so they will probably only bring about 7 fans
