Guest Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Rather pleased to get an email from Virgin Media saying that they are (finally) going to drop the scandalous premium rate 'phone charge for technical support. From 1 June it's free from a Virgin Media 'phone or a local rate number from any other 'phone. Good news indeed.
sTaGeWaLkEr Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Although it's worth noting that they currently credit your account back if the reported problem is their fault. That said - I'm pleased that the charge is being dropped. That way, everyone knows what the score is.
Alastair Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Do you still have to talk to an Indian call centre?
Guest Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Do you still have to talk to an Indian call centre? Yup.....and they're useless.
Rich Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Yup.....and they're useless. Orange's call centre is Indian as well, and even I know more about how Internet connections work than they do! I thought India had the fastest connections in the world?! Dumbest techies in the world more like.
Eric_Collins Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Do you still have to talk to an Indian call centre? Oh a hate that, sounds like Yoda taking into a tin can
Guest Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Although it's worth noting that they currently credit your account back if the reported problem is their fault. They have to..........."it's the law." I do hope that the removal of the premium rate is a sign that VM are getting their act together. Now, if they can find a few people (in India or wherever) to put on the 'phone who know what they are talking about, that'd be pretty impressive too.
