Joanl Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Am I missing out on real life or something? My friend is visiting and had to come through Waterloo station, where she paid a visit to the loos. She tells me that to spend a penny there these days is 30p .....30 flippin pence to spend a penny:o:roll: I couldn't believe it...do you know of anything similar:?:
SugarPuff Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Crikey, I'd want my shoes shone and my nails manicured aswell at that price! I think they're taking the pee...
Cyclone Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Odd, most train stations have free toilets. I've not been to waterloo for a while though.
angle20 Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 It's a cunning money-making plan. Have a suggestive name like Water-'loo', and then when people want to go charge them to use it! Actually I think Manchester Piccadilly has a charge as well.
Alex C. Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Network Rail impose the charge, its in operation at all NR owned stations (Most London Terminals, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool). Your friend must have been quite unlucky, or NR are finding it more expensive to run female loo's - I used them last week and it was 20p
liam_s1 Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Manchester charge. Many in Ireland charge. You need to pay for almost everything these days.
Don_Kiddick Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 She should have pebble-dashed & got her moneys worth out of it.
