Nintendo ds lite problems

Ive just bought one of these yesterday, im not very tech minded but i followed the insructions to the letter, set the date, time, nickname, etc, so i thought i would put the "Brain Training" card in to start the game, this is where the problem starts, it says to push in gently but firmly, it seems to be stuck, it wont go in or come out, do you have to have special games with this console and is this going to cost me, have i paid out £118 for something i cant use, wish id never bothered buying it, im going on holiday soon i ought to have put the money towards that

There are 2 slots on the console, the brain training game goes in the one at the top. Itll only fit one way as well (copper contacts facing the slot, label facing the back of the console). Push it in until it clicks, to get it out again, push it in and let go, it will pop out enough to be able to get hold of it and pull

Thanks, according to the drawing, the console is turned upsude down showing the battery cover and all the writing, serial number etc, it shows slot 1 the booklet tells you to put it in slot one, as im looking at it now the underside of the card (black) should be showing, i cant understand why its stuck, will it be broken, is there somewhere i could go to get it out

Looks like ive stupidly put it in upside down, now its not going anywhere, my husband will go barmy when he comes home

Im scared of making it worse as ive got Athritis in my hands and wrists, so i cant grip properly, my hubbys a bit stronger than me so i'll have to wait untill he comes home, just hope i havent ruined it all there's nowt to get old for
