bunnykins Posted April 5, 2008 Author Posted April 5, 2008 i always shred letters and my bunny has it for bedding, lol its more the pc hacking and using your passwords and cards etc, that worries me. i do think the amout of data people put into sites such as facebook is shocking, just like an online diary tbh, just waiting for someone to take an interest and bang they have your every move etc on the pc.
BasilRathbon Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 A shock report out today suggests bank account details are selling for as little as £5 as part of a thriving trade in stolen information on the internet. http://news.uk.msn.com/Article.aspx?cp-documentid=8010909 Sounds scary until you read the report was actually produced by a "web security" company called Symantec. No conflict of interest or lack of impartiality there then.....
jibbs1977 Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 I hope the sods who got hold of my details sold mine for alot as some div spent £800 on my master card.
Wardonia Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 I watched the programme. Little does Wardonia realise that I am using her account to type in words like knobend and arse on SF
BasilRathbon Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 I didn't know you could use words like knobend and arse on SF. Has the swearing filter been relaxed so you can now call someone a ******* **** as well?
Wardonia Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 You can use knobend and arse, but strangely not ********. Actually you can type as much ******** as you want and most people do.
bunnykins Posted April 19, 2008 Author Posted April 19, 2008 I don't know why people put so much info on facebook etc. They might as well add when they leave their house, return, and what the alarm codes are. too much info, shame they dont have a read at what they write:rolleyes: asking for trouble
Alex C. Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 too much info, shame they dont have a read at what they write:rolleyes: asking for trouble I leave quite a bit of information on there (road name, date of birth, phone number, employers details) because its the sort of stuff my friends might want to refer to. I've set the privacy so no-one can see it unless they're added as a friend. Of course, one of my friends could turn to a life of crime, but if they had the same details written down in a contacts book, they'd be able to do just the same.
bunnykins Posted April 19, 2008 Author Posted April 19, 2008 not worth the risk, your mobile number and thats it,if your friends need more info then they can contact you,
