W Wilkinson Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 The kids love burning the letters and stuff in an old metal dustbin(supervised before anyone jumps on it) and if you lived at S4 you would also not just shred but burn also.

Do you prefer to shred first and then burn or do you prefer it the other way round?
nick2 Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Do you prefer to shred first and then burn or do you prefer it the other way round? Either way it's not exactly environmentaly friendly, recycling would be a better idea, but it's obviously far too risky.
jibbs1977 Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 I had phone call from natwest fraud department some bugger spent £746 on my master card. Joe90 Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 I've just been thinking about whether or not i have any personal information on my PC - now as a rule i know its a no no (lol). But i was writing a CV the other day and have it stored on my computer - this has quite a lot of personal info on it. Has anyone else got thier CV stored on their personal computer? Is this info at risk form hackers?

You can chuck a fair bit of shredded paper onto the compost heap, provided you damp it down a bit and mix it in well with the usual vege peelings and other 'wet' stuff.

Clare85 Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 I don't know why people put so much info on facebook etc. They might as well add when they leave their house, return, and what the alarm codes are.
Savannah2 Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 delete the files you dont want on your pc/laptop. Deleting files does not remove them from your HD, it just means the space is reallocated. What Windows does when you empty your recycle bin, is to change the information in the VFAT (Virtual File Allocation Table, essentially a list of all the files on your hard drive) to indicate that the clusters on the disk where the files were stored are now available to be overwritten.
