adysheff Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Not quite Sheffield but has anyone any experience of the service dept at Gordon Lamb in Chesterfield? I'm sick of waiting for Sheffields main Renault dealer to return my calls! Any advice appreciated. Thanks
_johnnyb_ Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 If you can get over to Worksop I can highly recommend Ezra Sugden who are the official Renault dealer for that area. I had my car serviced there and the work and service is spot on.
Magilla Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 I have found the Saab service centre of Lambs in Sheffield to be shoddy & negligent in both their advice to customers and standard of work. I don't drive a Saab anymore.
medusa Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 I have had no recommendations for Lambs in Sheffield I'm afraid. Everyone I know that drives a SAAB gets them looked after by Phil Smith who's an independent specialist. I don't know whether there's any link between Lambs in Sheffield and Chesterfield though.
toonarmani Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 I've had no issues using the Nissan Gordon Lamb (next door to Renault) and I've been going there for 5 years. I would recommend them ... but not sure what the Renault garage are like.
platform9 Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 yep, I have a Saab and Lamb's service dept in Sheffield is rubbish. Currently having a battle with them to fix a folding mirror that has stopped working, even though the part is under warranty... not a big thing I know, but a thing I've paid for so I want it to work. Shame really as the car is really nice.
Lindseyw Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 How bizarre after using Gordon Lambs service dept for quite sometime we have only ever had good things to say, great service, fair prices. Good all round really.
Lancs_Lad Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Used to have a MG ZR some years ago, bought new from G Lamb Sheffield. It was delivered with damage and every time it went in for service it came back with either scratches to the body work, broken roof aerial because they put it through the car wash without removing it or after some warranty work a "technician" had punctured the dash with a screwdriver. We now have a Nissan and since Dixons shut we had to use Gordon Lamb in Chesterfield. Used them once for service and found them OK.
adysheff Posted April 5, 2008 Author Posted April 5, 2008 Thanks for replies, in for a penny as they say. At least they answer the phone and return the calls which Evans Halshaw hasn't managed to do! Surprise, surprise!
