What do you think to design of the new coins which will soon be in circulation?

Just been looking at the winning designs for the new coins and must admit they are pretty good. I am looking forward to getting my mitts on them so I can see them up close. Anyway, if you want a gander have a look on the link below:

Really smart. Our coins are sooo much better than the flimsy little coins you get abroad.

I think this will send a clear message to Europe that we ain't about to sell out to the Euro after spending all this money on producing new UK coinage.

I quite like them, however I do think that there's a sense of tradition in having the same design for such a long time!

These look great. A modern coinage can only create a modern image for the UK.

 

As an aside, has anyone else noticed that 'copper' coins now seem to be magnetic? When did this happen? Coin-makers who tampered with the coins of the realm to reduce their actual value used to have their hands cut off and eyes poked out. I think we should be told who is devaluing our currency.

I like them, but they should have the numerical value on them for foreign visitors.
